Bill began his career at Price Waterhouse in the Tax Technology Group, where he honed his expertise in tax and financial systems. He went on to spend many years as a consultant, working with a variety of companies in the financial software industry. After relocating to Pinehurst, Bill collaborated with local accounting firms before founding MacAdam & Associates to provide personalized and comprehensive tax services.

Bill holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, an MBA from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Business, and a Master’s in Taxation from DePaul University. He earned his CPA certificate in 1991, bringing decades of knowledge and experience to his clients.

Bill is an active member of the community, with involvement in organizations such as the Southern Pines Rotary (where he served as Past Treasurer and is a Paul Harris Fellow), The Given Foundation (Past Treasurer), and Emmanuel Episcopal Church. He is also a proud member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association, Triangle Fraternity Alumni Association, Purdue University Alumni Association, and Pinehurst Country Club.

Bill and his wife, Sara, live in Pinehurst and have two grown children, John and Emily. They also share their home with two beloved dogs, Pippa and Cappy, who may occasionally greet visitors at the office.
